The Zeta Kappa Chapter of Kappa Delta is located in Muncie, Indiana with Ball State University. Something this chapter wanted to do was to have the opportunity to get dolled up and have fun with their sisters. I am an alumnae of this particular chapter and I was thrilled when they asked me to take photographs for them.
The typical places that sororities (including Kappa Delta) took chapter photographs were on campus because it was beautiful and there were a lot of identifiers that they were at Ball State. So, we brainstormed to go somewhere near campus, but not the typical places. Minnetrista is a wonderful place right next to campus with LOTS of land that is perfect for group pictures. It is also home to the Delaware County Fairgrounds. It was (and still is) one of my favorite places to go when I was in college to take portraits of people.
I was able to meet a lot of the new women that came to the chapter this year and be able to take some cute “couple” shots and small group shots (even some individual shots) and not just large group shots. I had a blast and I loved being able to use Minnetrista as a backdrop for these wonderful women.
