This may sound silly when you read aloud "capturing the magic" but I feel as if that it really can be captured when taking photographs. Lifestyle photographs are more real life and real moments, not necessarily posed or styled. However, I do also do this as well because in my blog post "What does lifestyle portraits mean?" you can tell that my definition also includes photographing milestones in a persons life which includes posed and styled sessions.
Now to answer the question, how will it capture the magic. These photographs are more on capturing the moments. I would rather have photographs of you laughing with each other instead of all just smiling at the camera. I would rather see the look between the two of you at your engagement shoot that shows your true love for one another than doing the posed "we're a cute couple" look. I would rather capture the little moments that each of you have than doing the basic "this is how we pose to take a photo" looks.
The magic is the moments. Kaytee Lorentzen Photography specializes in lifestyle photography. I went to school for photojournalism and I love the similarities that photojournalism and lifestyle portrait photography have in common. I loved to find the moments that were not expected to be captured as well as the posed and styled sessions. I thought that this would be a great integration of what I loved to do.
