National Save Your Photos Month - Here is how you can

It's National Save Your Photos Month which can mean one thing - learning ways that you can save your photos.

Everything is going digital now and there are almost little to no actual photos to hold. I completely understand this, but what happens when all of a sudden, you don't have your phone. You don't have access to the computer. What happens then?

I am not saying every single photo ever taken needs to be printed. I think the days of flipping through old photo albums with the laminate pages so you can stick new photos in is a thing of the past now. I actually remember doing that as a child. I am sure those books are somewhere collecting dust in my parent's house.

What I am saying is that we need to cherish our memories. We still need photos on our walls to decorate our homes. We still need photo albums to look back on. We may even need a small box of photos to bring out when we miss the ones we love the most.

There are some easy ways to save your photos instead of leaving them all in the digital world.

1. Make them into wall art

This means putting them onto your walls. Whether that be as a metal print, a canvas, or even just framed photos. Add them to your wall. It's exactly how it sounds, it is art on a wall. Get creative with it. If you don't think you have the creative gene in you, ask your photographer to help you out. I have a program I use to help come up with drafts by adding these photos to your wall virtually. So you can see it before you buy it.

2. Framed Photos

This may sound crazy, but before digital times, photos were put into frames and displayed for all to see. This is not a thing of the past though. We still add photos to our desk at work and have them on our nightstand. This gives every little area of your life a special touch. You can easily add them to open spaces on bookshelves, on end tables, mantles and window frames.

3. Put them in an album

This is probably one of my favorites. I am always so indecisive when it comes to photos. I love them all. This is the best option for these moments. I am stealing this idea from someone I follow on Instagram Valerie Keinsley. She does this amazing thing with her photographs and makes them into albums. She does this for her vacations/trips. She will do them for each year of her kid's lives. My favorite is that she did a picture a week for the first year of her children's lives and made each photo black and white and made that an album. How cool is that?! These can easily be added to your bookshelf, coffee tables or on end tables.

4. Have some in a photo box

Maybe you just want some for safe keeping that you can look through down the road. Maybe you want a really awesome gift for grandma and grandpa. Maybe you need something to tie into your decor on your coffee table. This is a great option. This box can have a photograph from your session on the top, and then you open it up and there are some photos inside. This is honestly my favorite gift to give as it can be placed anywhere in someone else's home.

Saving your photographs can be really important too for the years to come. Especially when you decide to take that technology detox and yet you still want to look at photos. It's also a very easy way to share your photographs with people who enter your home.

All about wall art & why you should love it

Let me just tell you about this thing I absolutely love and wish everyone could too. Wall art. Wall art is just the physical product of a photograph on a wall. That's it. Wall art is just a fancy way of saying it and to compile all the different types.

Every photographer can offer different forms of wall art from metal prints, canvases, wood prints, etc. There are so many types that are out there and some photographers offer them all and others do not.

I offer canvases, metal prints, & framed photos. I wanted to keep it to these because I offer a lot of other products that don't go on the wall and I wanted to keep my selection smaller. These are all wonderful options.

Canvas

These are a classic for wall art. Most homes that have larger photographs are canvases. It's easy to transport, and it is a focal point for any wall.

Metal Prints

These are newer than your typical canvas. They are a blown-up photo on a sheet of metal. It's actually pretty cool because it can be very shiny and it pops into your eye when you walk into a room. It can either be hung or placed upright like a framed photo.

Framed photos

This is the most common you see in others homes. It's just a photo in a classic black photo frame. You can easily hang these as well as prop them up.

Why should you love these?

It's a very easy way to fill your home with your memories. I love them because I have a lot of fun making these designs for you. It warms my heart to know that your home is filled with your memories and that you will be able to cherish them for years to come.

How do you do this?

I have a whole video to show you how I go through this process.

What's the big deal with product collections?

I get some questions about what product collections are and why I always push for a product collection instead of just coming up with a bunch of individual items by themselves. I promise, there is a reason behind it. I want to explain more about what they are and why it's better for you to go with a product collection.

A product collection is a combination of popular items (and sizes) put together to get a great deal on the products. I have gone ahead and given a discount to these items if you get them bundled. You can find the four options I have on my pricing pages.

Why do I want you to buy these collections? For your benefit. Not only are they popular items, but they also go well together in your home. Plus, you don't have to sit down and think "Now what will look good in this room? What size should I choose? Which product is really better?" I have done all the heavy lifting in that department. I made them specifically to help alleviate any stress that you will have thinking about it.

I wanted to show you a few of the products that can come in these collections.
